Do you love the soft dreamy look of a watercolor painting? I do, and I think that's because my Mom was an artist. She painted wonderful flowers and baskets. I'm excited to say that now I can take a photograph and turn it into a watercolor style painting using Painter software. This is not an automated filter used in Photoshop, but a program where you paint stroke by stroke with a Wacom tablet and pen stylus. It's great at imitating all types of media.
This is the perfect way to transform an image into a painting. It's printed with archival inks onto a stiff, textured watercolor paper with the unfinished edge. You can purchase a standard size, so the matting and framing will be affordable. You can find nice frames at Michael's and Hobby Lobby when they are on sale.
What subjects work best? Your favorite picture might be perfect. Portraits of children, family, pets; someone in action playing a sport, receiving an award, graduating, celebrating an anniversary; a beautiful mountain landscape, a marsh sunset, an ocean sunrise or special place you visited - all are great subjects. And the great thing about creating a painting is that you can change parts of the image. Contact me if you have a subject in mind. My galleries are just the tip of the imaging iceberg. I have thousands more in my private collection at casey.printroom.com.
How does this work? You can email or ftp your image to me. There is a basic charge for the creation of the artwork. You will be directed to a site for approval of the work. Then price is based on the size of the print, packing and shipping.
Contact me for sizes available and prices. More complicated images will require more time and cost.
